The ads are out, sales are on, plans are made…it’s just 2 days away…the biggest BBQ day of the year – Independence Day, the 4th of July. So, whatcha makin’? Don’t know yet? Well, I just happen to have a few ideas….
Just a small get together and want to impress them? Genius. In that case you can’t do any better than some Porterhouse steaks, or perhaps a Bison steak. For a white meat alternative you could do a beer can chicken, or throw on some chicken breasts that have been brining for a day or two. Don’t forget the yummy Italian Pasta Salad for a side. Every party needs some.
Cooking for the masses? Load your grill or smoker up with some chicken thighs and drummies for something different. Or if you have the space, go with the St. Louis favorite – pork steaks. Just don’t forget to take it up a notch and really impress your friends by using your own all purpose rub, chicken rub and award winning bbq sauce.
