4th of July BBQ Menu

4th of JulyUsually on the big summer holidays I put together a montage of recipe ideas and pictures to stir your appetite.  This year I thought I would keep it a bit simpler and just flat out give you what I think would be an excellent menu for your gathering.

You don’t have to listen to me – you can come up with your own delicious BBQ menu.  Check out all of our recipes and put together your own fantastic spread.  But, if you just don’t feel like thinking about it, here’s what I would do:

  • Start with the absolutely mouth watering delicious Smoked Honey Bourbon Chicken Wings.  It allows you to do some easy smoking, fun sauce making, and a bit of searing at the end.  Anyone that likes wings will love these.  Don’t forget the Blue Cheese Sauce.  That’s critically important.
  • For the main course, you just gotta go BURGER. C’mon. Everyone loves burgers. And they don’t have to be beef. Mix it up.  Do a burger bar.  Do a ton of toppings. Different buns. There are gobs of options, and the only resource you need is our Ultimate Burger Guide.
  • For your sides, do one light cold one:  Italian Pasta Salad. I think it’s an Independence Day requirement to have pasta salad.  Then to blow your guests away and have some fun, do some ridiculously tasty BBQ Beans. These beans are stupid good.  I mean flat out offensively crazy good.
  • For a fun drink, try a Grilled Pineapple Mojito.  A grilled drink?  Stop it.  That’s just too fun.
  • Lastly, for possibly the best grilled dessert I’ve ever made, try the cool and refreshing, yet warm and deliciously satisfying, Grilled Strawberry Dessert Sandwich. Glorious.

There you have it and there you are. One absolutely outstanding 4th of July Menu. Enjoy your 3 day weekend and whatever you do, please cook outside at least once. It’s the birthday of our country for heaven’s sake. There should be grilling and smoke and happiness.

Happy Independence Day everyone.

Kevin, this is a great site. I just wanted to let you know that your links to “BURGER” and “Ultimate Burger Guide” (which i think both redirect to http://www.extraordinarybbq.com/the-ultimate-burger-guide/) are failing to load. Chrome’s message spits out “This webpage has a redirect loop”.
