Smoked Whole TurkeyIs anyone else getting jacked up to cook some Turkey’s this Thanksgiving?? I AM! I’ll be smoking somewhere in the neighborhood of 5-7 turkeys. I can’t wait. They are SO tasty. So juicy. So delicious. Mmmmm….now I’m hungry.

I’ve posted several Turkey related recipes in the past, including a basic Smoked Whole Turkey recipe and some Turkey Tips. This year I thought I’d give you a different source for everything you’ve ever wanted to know about cooking a turkey:  Fix.com

This site is SO cool. It walks you through several different cooking methods and includes recipe ideas for injections and rubs as well.

I was thoroughly impressed, so I thought I’d share! Check it out – and however you decide to cook your Holiday bird, have FUN doing it!

Kevin,

I’ve got a question hopefully you can help. I’m limited in space can I make my turkey brine and turkey injection today later in the evening and let it sit out, no room left in the fridge. I’ll be injecting Thursday morning and brining late Wednesday. Thanks…I’m also doing the smoked glazed ham underneath the turkey!

Gary – sorry for my delay in responding! But yes, I believe it would be fine to leave the injection and brine out.

Hope you had success with both your turkey and your ham!
