Oh c’mon, you knew this was coming. Why not take some pressure off your wife and mom, and do some of the Easter cooking on your grill? Don’t worry, you can still do the traditional favorites…they’ll just have an outdoor twist.
One of the most traditional Easter meals is of course ham. My Glazed Smoked Ham is a recipe I’ve prepared for several big occasions and it never disappoints. You can do so many different twists to the flavors, it will keep your family happy. Try a sugary glaze, or try slicing the ham prior to smoking to let in more smoke and more sugar. Or try a bbq flavor with some rub and sauce. There are tons of possibilities. Then you’ll have plenty of leftovers for Split Pea Soup or Smoked Ham and Bean Soup…yum.
If you’re craving pork but don’t want to take the time to cook a whole ham, why not try Pork Tenderloin? My Smoked Pork Tenderloin with Raspberry Glaze will hit the spot, and only takes about an hour and a half to prepare.
Another tradition is turkey…and why not? A Smoked Whole Turkey is glorious. The flavors, the juices…I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: There’s not much better than a smoked bird. If you’re looking for something a bit quicker, a bit more elegant, then there is no better option than Bacon Wrapped Turkey Mignons with Wine Mushroom Glaze. Quick, delicious and has a fancy flare.
And what Easter would be complete without Deviled Eggs? Well, if you’re going to make them, you might as well use bacon and knock them out of the park. Don’t do grandma’s recipe this year. Try my Chipotle Bacon Deviled Eggs. Their magnificent.
Have a blessed Easter everyone. Enjoy your family time and happy cooking!
