Extraordinary BBQ…on the Radio!

Microphone SizedIt is with the utmost excitement that I announce a new BBQ Radio show coming to the airwaves – and to podcasts – this Sunday at 6pm on WGNU, 920 AM!  Pitmasters Radio show presented by St. Louis Home Fires is a venture headed up by my good friend, Frank Schmer, and I will be joining him on the ride.

What can you expect?  Well, the first Pitmasters show will be jam-packed.  Interviews with Otis Walker from Smokie O’s – recently featured on Bizarre Foods – and Mike Johnson from Sugarfire – the restaurant just voted best new AND best BBQ in St. Louis.  We’ll discuss the American Royale, other competitions, review a tasty sauce and yours truly will share some recipes and tips to make your next tailgate the envy of all.

In the future you can expect more reviews on sauces and rubs, tips and techniques to ratchet your backyard cooking up a notch, interviews, ideas, and lots of fun.

Want to know the coolest part?  You ALL can listen to the show!  Just go to http://wgnu920am.com/ and click on the Listen Live link every Sunday at 6pm.  You can stream the show on your computer, phone or tablet!

I will include links to podcasts as soon as they are available and will welcome any and all feedback.  Please comment below or send me an email with subjects, ideas, products that YOU would like to hear on the show.  We’re open to anything and everything.

Exciting times!

We are. We moved to The Big 550 KTRS and are on every Sunday from 4-5pm. I’d love for you to carry the show in Texas!

Dear Sir;
I work a very hectic schedule that is all over the place as far as times. This caused me to miss listening to my little brother, Kirk Southard, on your show last night (4/6/2014) at 6:00 pm.
Is there any possible way I can hear a recording of this?
