What are your Labor Day Weekend BBQ Plans?

I’d love to hear what you’ll be cooking this weekend.  Let’s all share.  I’ll go first:

I’m cooking, in no particular order:

– 5 Slabs of Baby Back Ribs

– 16 Chicken Thighs

– 8 pork butts

– 50 chicken wings & drummies

– 30 hot dogs

– 2 whole packer Brisket’s

– 6 pork steaks

– 8 batches of homemade BBQ Sauce

– 28 batches of homemade rubs

…..and a partridge in a pear tree.

 

Yep, should be a fun weekend.  My grill and smoker will be lit for uncountable hours.  Prepping for a big competition, having a ton of friends and family over, and enjoying a 3-day weekend.

Can I smoke a boneless/skinless chicken breast? It will be brined. I have only smoke chicken breasts with the skin on. If it is possible, do I need to do anything different?

Absolutely you can, Bill. Just be careful not to dry it out – it won’t take nearly as long as bone-in chicken. Make sure to monitor the internal temp and yank em off at 165.
